Database Developer

We're looking for another brilliant Database Developer, to join our team creating custom database applications with FileMaker Pro. You'll be:

• Programming, debugging and testing
  
• Designing database structures
  
• Creating user interfaces and reports
  
• Liaising directly with clients
  
• Seeing projects through from design to deployment and ongoing support
  

Projects consist of:

• Designing and building CRM, Job Tracking and Workflow systems for medium sized companies
  
• Enhancements to existing systems
  
• Solutions across a range of different industries
  
• Integrating systems with web sites and services, financial systems, and new technologies
  

Your opportunities include:

• Some travel - predominately in NZ and Australia; we also have clients in the USA, Europe and Japan.
  

You'll need to:

• Live in Christchurch, New Zealand
  
• Know how to normalise a database, parse XML, and recursively traverse a hierarchy... in your sleep.
  
• Enjoy working in a fun and energetic office
  
• Understand that clients are our raison d'�tre
  
• Be detail focussed yet able get things done
  
• Enjoy crafting user interfaces

This is an entry level opportunity - we're really looking for someone who loves programming, is creative, and likes to produce a finished product for people to use. We'll teach you FileMaker, no problem, but skills in programming are essential and in particular any experience in JavaScript and/or PHP will compliment the role nicely.
